The Prince and Princess of Wales meet children in ancient forest during Isle of Mull visit.
On April 30, 2025, the Prince and Princess of Wales, known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, visited the Ardura Community Forest on the Isle of Mull during the second day of their trip. They joined children from the Ardura Acorns, an early-years outdoor learning group, and their families for activities like nature trails, den building, and animal tracking in the ancient oak woodland, part of Scotland’s Atlantic rainforest. The couple engaged with the children, with Kate notably interacting with four-year-old Rosie-Mae, who shared her excitement and guided Kate to the river to throw sticks. The visit highlighted the importance of nature in education and community life, with the Royal Foundation announcing funding to support two ranger roles for Mull and Iona to protect the habitat. William emphasized the value of community connections, noting the contrast with urban isolation. The visit coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary celebrations, which began the previous day on Mull.
