The Prince and Princess of Wales express gratitude after ending Scotland visit.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, officially titled the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, expressed gratitude following their two-day visit to the Scottish Isles of Mull and Iona, which coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2025. In a personal message shared on social media, they thanked those who welcomed them, stating, “Thank you to everyone we met for making our visit to Mull and Iona so special. It was wonderful to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary in a place so close to our hearts, and to see the incredible work being done to protect and champion the natural environment.” The visit, their highest-profile joint trip of the year, included engagements in Tobermory, where they met locals and visited a community hub, and the Ardura Community Forest, where they joined school children to learn about conservation efforts. The Royal Foundation announced funding to support the Mull and Iona Ranger Service, highlighting their commitment to environmental causes. The couple’s warm reception by over 200 residents and their focus on community and nature underscored the significance of the trip, especially as it marked Kate’s first overnight official engagement since her cancer treatment.
