These old posts resurfaced after the influencer publicly celebrated securing a VIP ticket, which reportedly includes perks like a photo opportunity with Meghan. Critics have highlighted concerns over the event’s guest vetting process, arguing that associating with someone promoting conspiracy theories about a cancer patient’s illness reflects poorly on the retreat’s tone and Meghan’s brand, especially given the sensitive nature of the topic. Some royal watchers have also raised potential security or reputational risks tied to “extreme fans.”18

Additional scrutiny has hit the event over claims of slow ticket sales, with reports of a website banner claiming tickets were “exhausted” being quietly removed, and suggestions of available spots worth nearly $100,000 still lingering. Meghan herself is not directly accused of making the remarks—the fire is aimed at the optics of her supporter base and event organization—but the story has amplified ongoing media narratives about divisions between the Sussexes and the Waleses.12

This fits a pattern of tabloid and online amplification around Meghan-related projects, where associations with polarizing fans quickly become headlines. Kate’s health battle has been treated with widespread public sympathy across the UK and beyond, making denialist theories particularly inflammatory. No official response from Meghan, Harry, or the retreat organizers has been widely reported as of now, and the event appears to be proceeding.

Public discourse on this remains sharply divided along familiar pro- and anti-Sussex lines, with little middle ground in sight.
