The detainee has been charged with attempting to "injure Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II or alarm Her Majesty".

On December 25, 2021, a man named Jaswant Singh Chail was arrested after breaking into Queen Elizabeth II's mansion at Windsor Castle with a crossbow and saying this message, "I got here to kill the Queen."
The alleged perpetrator is charged under the Treason Act with intent to "injure Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II or alarm Her Majesty," in addition to death threats and possession of an offensive weapon.
Prosecutors say the former Southampton supermarket worker used to be seen in the citadel grounds sporting a hood and masks at around 8:10 a.m. on Christmas Day.
At the time of the incident, the Queen was once in the citadel but, happily for everyone, she used to be now not hurt.
At the moment, the defendant has no longer been requested to plead guilty to any of the charges.
What has befell in the last few days
On Wednesday morning, Chail seemed for the hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in London from a excessive protection psychiatric health center recognised as Broadmoor.
So far he has now not been requested to plead guilty, so he will stay in custody till his next courtroom appearance on September 14.
According to prosecutors, the accused is a professional, as he tried to be a part of the British army and the Ministry of Defense police to get nearer to the royal family.
On the different hand, the prosecution lawyers argue that Chail wanted to take revenge on the British institution for its therapy of the Indians.
Not content with that, Chail sent a video to about 20 human beings claiming that he was going to assassinate the Queen earlier than the incident.
