Prince William returns to village he once called home with The Prince of Wales(Kate Middleton).
Prince William was there as part of royal duties without Kate Middleton.
Prince William on Thursday visited Anmer Social Club to hear how Norfolk and Waveney Mind, a mental health charity, are delivering vital support to local people.
Anmer Social Club is located in the small village of Anmer on the Sandringham Royal Estate in Norfolk.
The Prince of Wales learned more about a pilot cofounded by him and his wife Kate Middleton aimed at improving the wellbeing of local people.
It provides proactive outreach and preventative support, including counselling sessions and menopause support groups.
The Prince and Princess of Wales lived in Norfolk at Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate from 2015 to 2017.
Prince William and Kate Middleton still use Anmer Hall as a private countryside home and retreat during school holidays.
The couple then moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor and lived there on the Windsor estate from 2022 to late 2025.
Prince William and Princess Kate now live at Forest Lodge situated in the heart of the 4,800-acre Windsor Great Park.
That phrase immediately brings back a lot of nostalgia for royal watchers! Whenever Prince William and Princess Kate return to Anglesey, the scenic island in North Wales, they are returning to the place they first truly called home as a couple.
Before moving to their Windsor home, the early days of their marriage were deeply rooted in a quiet, coastal lifestyle in Wales.
Their Special Refuge.
Between 2010 and 2013, long before their recent moves around Windsor and London, the couple rented Bodorgan Home Farm, a secluded four-bedroom farmhouse on the Bodorgan Estate. At the time, Prince William was stationed nearby as an RAF search and rescue pilot.
Living on the island gave them a unique, low-key experience that they rarely get to enjoy elsewhere:
A "Normal" Life: They were frequently spotted doing their own grocery shopping at the local Waitrose in Menai Bridge or grabbing a quiet bite at local country pubs, usually without a massive entourage.
A Peaceful Sanctuary: The cottage offered immense privacy, private beach access, and stunning views of Newborough Forest. It allowed them to navigate the early days of their marriage—and the arrival of their first baby, Prince George, in 2013—away from the constant glare of the media.
William has openly called Anglesey an "immensely special place" for them both, noting that the warmth and discretion of the local community made it a true sanctuary. Whenever official duties or community-led initiatives bring them back to the villages of North Wales, it is always a meaningful trip down memory lane.
