James Middleton opens up about bond with Kate Middleton despite Princess of Wales royal duties.

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton has opened up about household bond and everyday gatherings in spite of the future queen’s royal duties.
James used to be speakme to Hello! at the Dogs Trust's Centre close to his domestic in Berkshire.
Kate Middleton and Pippa’s youthful brother said, "We're truly lucky to be a very shut family, and so we get together as a household extraordinarily regularly, and love that opportunity."
The father of one went on pronouncing one of the terrific matters about being the youngest [sibling] and having kids closing is that “there is an abundance of paraphernalia that comes in very handy.”
James added, "Also, it’s the self belief [they provide me]. You're continually on aspect with being a parent, especially this time of 12 months with coughs and colds and sniffles going round the place.”

James Middleton, the younger brother of the Princess of Wales, recently opened up in an exclusive interview with HELLO! magazine about his enduring close bond with his sister Kate Middleton, emphasizing that her demanding royal duties have not diminished their family ties.
In the interview, conducted during a photoshoot at the Dogs Trust’s Centre near his Berkshire home, James (38) shared that Kate and their sister Pippa Matthews are always available for support. “They’re definitely at the end of the phone if we need a bit of advice,” he said, referring to himself and his wife Alizée Thevenet as new parents to their son Inigo.
He added that the support goes both ways: “And equally, they know that I’m on the end of the phone if they need a bit of advice on managing their dogs.” (James is a passionate dog enthusiast and breeder; the Wales family previously owned dogs descended from his late spaniel Ella.)
James highlighted the Middleton family’s closeness despite busy lives: “We’re really fortunate to be a very close family, and so we get together as a family relatively regularly, and love that opportunity.” He noted the joy of family gatherings for the cousins—Inigo has six cousins from Kate’s three children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) and Pippa’s three—saying, “It’s wonderful them spending time together and making memories.”
The family lives relatively near each other in Berkshire and Windsor, facilitating regular meet-ups. James and his family also attended Kate’s annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey earlier in December 2025.
This heartfelt insight comes just before Christmas 2025, underscoring the Middletons’ strong sibling and extended family bonds amid Kate’s high-profile role as future Queen.
