Royal fans react to Catherine, Princess of Wales, William's decision to leave Adelaide Cottage.
“What a stunning domestic for such a stunning family".
Royal followers have expressed their views over Kate Middleton and Prince William’s selection to depart Adelaide Cottage after three years.
Reports advocate that the Prince and Princess of Wales are transferring to Forest Lodge, previously recognised as Holly Grove, in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire.
According to the Page Six, per the New York Post, Kensington Palace has tested the reports, saying, “The Wales household will go residence later this year.”
Commenting on it, one royal fan says, “And I desire the Wales' household excellent wishes, heat benefits and exact views on this move. May they experience many years to come with serenity.”
Another said, “Just noticed this on a royal information web page and I'm so glad to see the confirmation! Congratulations to the Prince and Princess of Wales on a lovely new home! Their children are getting older and this appears like an exquisite area to live. England is very fortunate to have the Wales household representing them. Class and elegance.”
“What a lovely domestic for such a lovely family, interior and out. I want the Wales household the great for their subsequent chapter at Forest Lodge. Such exceptional pics in this article too that will be treasured recollections for the youngsters to cherish forever,” the third said.
Royal fans have shared mixed reactions to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s decision to leave Adelaide Cottage after three years, with reports indicating a move to Forest Lodge (formerly Holly Grove) in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire. Some fans expressed enthusiasm and support, viewing the move as a positive step for the growing Wales family. For instance, one fan commented, “And I wish the Wales’ family good wishes, warm blessings and good perspectives on this move. May they enjoy many years to come with serenity.” Another praised the new home, saying, “Congratulations to the Prince and Princess of Wales on a beautiful new home! Their kids are getting older and this looks like an amazing place to live. England is very lucky to have the Wales family representing them. Class and elegance.” A third fan added, “What a beautiful home for such a beautiful family, inside and out. I wish the Wales family the best for their next chapter at Forest Lodge.” These sentiments highlight excitement for the family’s new chapter and appreciation for their role in representing the monarchy.
However, not all reactions were positive. Some fans criticized the decision, citing concerns about extravagance amid economic challenges in the UK. One fan remarked, “And what about William’s commitment to the homeless? Meanwhile, he runs from villa to castle, from the castle to a luxury villa in Mustique, and from Wimbledon to a luxurious holiday in Kefalonia. All this while the British are experiencing a terrifying economic crisis.” Another expressed skepticism about the need for a larger home, stating, “I am a monarchist but I don’t see why they should move into something that will never get used, build on to the cottage for the nanny or move into something much smaller than the ‘castle’ in a few years they will be moving anyway.” These comments reflect a divide, with some fans questioning the optics of the move given William’s public advocacy for social issues like homelessness.
The decision to relocate comes after the family outgrew the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage, which they moved into in August 2022 for privacy and proximity to their children’s school, Lambrook. Kensington Palace confirmed the move to Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom residence, noting it as a “fresh start” after challenging times, including Kate’s cancer treatment and the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The move is privately funded, with the family paying market rent, and they will continue to maintain no live-in staff, aligning with their preference for a more hands-on family life.
