Why Did Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Their Kids Skip Easter Sunday Services in Windsor?
Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis skipped the Easter Sunday services at Windsor Castle on April 20, 2025, to spend the holiday together as a family at their country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk. This decision was made to prioritize family time before the children returned to Lambrook School after their Easter break. A royal source indicated that Prince William informed King Charles of their intention to miss the traditional royal gathering, and the King agreed to their plan for an extended family focused holiday. This marked the second consecutive year the Wales family missed the Easter service, having also opted for a private celebration in 2024 following Kate’s cancer diagnosis, which was announced just weeks before Easter that year.
