The Princess of Wales has appeared in a highly personal new video where she opens up about her ‘very spiritual, very intense’ relationship with the natural world. Catherine, who has served as joint president of the Scouting Foundation since 2020, previously described how nature was a ‘sanctuary’ for her family during her chemotherapy treatment. Now, in a new short film released with the Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields, the royal mother-of-three discusses the importance of nature and its impact on mental health during a visit to the Lake District, where she spent time with a group of Scouts aged between 10 and 15. ‘I find it a very spiritual and very intense emotional reconnection, I suppose, these environments,’ says the Princess of Wales, who wrapped up in a beige woolen turtleneck, jacket and matching flat cap for the day out. ‘Not everyone has that same relationship, perhaps, with nature, but it is so, therefore, meaningful for me as a place to balance and find a sort of sense of peace and reconnection in what is otherwise a very busy world.’ Click the link in our bio for more.
