The Prince and Princess of Wales Easter Sunday absence explained.

The Prince and Princess of Wales Easter Sunday absence explained.
Prince William and Princess Kate did not attend the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor in 2025, choosing instead to spend the holiday with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall. This decision was made to prioritize family time during the children’s school break from Lambrook School, with the couple informing King Charles, who agreed to their plans. The Waleses also missed the 2024 Easter service due to Kate’s cancer diagnosis, announced shortly before, and spent that holiday privately as she underwent preventative chemotherapy. While they have been regular attendees since 2017, their absence in 2025 reflects a focus on family, especially after a challenging year marked by Kate’s health battle, from which she announced remission in January 2025.
