Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has indeed made significant strides in an aspect of royal life she once found daunting: public speaking. Early in her royal career, particularly during her first public speech on March 19, 2012, at the East Anglia Children’s Hospices, Kate admitted to finding the experience “nerve-racking.” This candid remark came after she delivered her debut address as a working royal, just 11 months after marrying Prince William in April 2011. At the time, she was visibly nervous, but her honesty about the challenge endeared her to many.
