Princess of Wales(Kate Middleton) makes rare comment about her cancer battle.

Kate Middleton made a rare comment about how difficult her cancer battle was for her family.

While visiting patients at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, the Princess of Wales opened up about undergoing chemotherapy and how it affected Prince William and their three children, Prince George, PrincessCharlotte and Prince Louis.

Kate reflects on cancer journey.

Kate met with a woman named Lorente, who rang a celebratory bell to honor her final day of treatment.

"Well done, you!" the future queen of England raved in a clip obtained by HELLO!, while adding what an "amazing day" it was for Lorente.

"I know it's just as hard for families and loved ones," Kate admitted. "I know how hard it was for the children and my parents. You go through it with them."

"Isn't Mummy brave?" the mother of three cooed at the woman's baby.

Kate's cancer diagnosis.

In March 2024, Kate announced to the world that she'd been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing an abdominal surgery.

"As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment," she said in an Instagram video.

"But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I am going to be OK," the 44-year-old continued.

Kate ensured she was "well and getting stronger every day," but requested "time, space and privacy" as she was eager to make a "full recovery."

Kate announces she's in remission.

By January 2025, the former Duchess of Cambridge announced she was done with treatment and was in remission.

"My heartfelt thanks go to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn't have asked for more," she wrote in an Instagram update.

"The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional," Kate added.

The matriarch urged people dealing with the same health battle to "please keep a positive mindset" because it made "such a difference."

Kate returns to her royal duties.

Over the past year, Kate has slowly returned to her responsibilities as a senior member of the royal family.

The Prince of Wales' spouse recently made her first solo visit to Italy to promote early childhood development.

"There's no denying that everyone concerned has been missing the princess's star quality," royal biographer Russell Myer told People. "She is a huge draw wherever she goes."

"Kate is undoubtedly a central force in the monarchy's popularity and ability to achieve its goals and move forward. There is no better time for her to return," the journalist shared.
