Merely two minutes (fine, like a day) after initial reports that the Queen had extended an olive department to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry by inviting them to Balmoral, her summer retreat in Scotland, Page Six dusted off some sources who would beg to differ.
Apparently a couple of sources advised Page Six that the Sussexes are not on the Balmoral visitor list, with the outlet including that Meghan and Harry are staying in the United States "ahead of the publication of Harry’s much-anticipated memoir this fall."
A "Balmoral insider" (sounds fun, how do I sign up) in the past advised The Sun that team of workers at the Scottish fortress "have been told to count on the full listing of royals which include Harry, Meghan and their teens Archie and Lilibet. They are preparing for the Sussexes.”
Oh, and another Sun supply noted that “Balmoral is the best area for them to spend a little bit of satisfactory time with the Queen" specifically considering the fact that "they barely had 15 minutes with her at the Jubilee.” However! Yet ANOTHER supply mused “I would be started up if they did flip up.”
Truly so many sources, so little time.
Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry - the human beings who are certainly involved in this story have yet to comment on all this back-and-forth about Balmoral, or on their summer plans in general. But thinking about Harry's memoir is supposed to be exceedingly important (and intended to spill some relatively principal details about the royals), it kind of makes feel that he wishes to opt out of the large family vacation? That said, Harry is extraordinarily shut to his grandmother the Queen, so possibilities are he'll want to spend as plenty time with her as possible.
