Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Will Be Honored for Their Work Surrounding Afghanistan.

rince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell charity is being recognized for its work advocating for at-risk Afghans and army veterans who served in Afghanistan. The Human First Coalition is awarding Archwell the Partner Organization Award for its advocacy and economic support. The equal evening, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal will receive the Haji Abdul Rauf Service Award for his work on behalf of Afghan refugees and asylum seekers.
"Both Sen. Blumenthal and the Archewell Foundation had been instrumental in assisting us as we organized efforts to assist Afghans who have been left at the back of when the Taliban took Kabul," Safi Rauf, an Afghani refugee and former Taliban hostage, who installed Human First Coalition, shared in a press release. Meghan and Harry will no longer be in attendance; instead, Archewell Foundation Executive Director James Holt will accept the award on their behalf.
