The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Montecito home reportedly has sixteen bathrooms. Commentator Shane Watson describes the number as "insane", adding that it looks "more clownish than ever" as drought-stricken California enforces water restrictions.
Ms Watson made the remarks in a piece discussing celebrities downsizing from mansions.
Writing for the Daily Telegraph, the commentator said: "The best way to spot a Celebrity Clown, or at least one of the ways, is they stay in a 16-bathroom house, and there are two of them and two beneath five (see the Sussexes).
"As you recognize – but let’s put it out there one greater time because it in no way ceases to make us boggle – Harry and Meghan’s Montecito house has seven greater lavatories than it has bedrooms.
"That is 9 en-suites, plus some other strategically placed seven conveniences.
"It constantly was once an insane wide variety of lavatories but now California is in the middle of a drought, water restrictions are in place, and the insanity of this sort of empty-room dwelling is searching greater clownish than ever.
"Let’s simply pause to think about these redundant rooms for a moment.
"At a guess, no more than 4 toilets are in ordinary use, and that’s which include the nanny’s."
The Sussexes moved into their home in the celebrity enclave in June 2020.
Harry and Meghan give up royal duties in March that year and moved across the pond.
It emerged in August 2020 that they have been residing in their new residence with their son Archie and have considering the fact that welcomed daughter Lili.
Speaking at the time, a spokesman for the couple said: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their family home in July of this year.
"They have settled into the quiet privateness of their neighborhood in view that their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbours, as nicely as for them as a family."
The mansion is said to boast nine bedrooms, a games room, home theatre, spa facilities, an elevator, gym, swimming pool and tennis court.
