The Princess of Wales(Kate Middleton) & Meghan Markle’s Rift Could End With One Major Move.
One significant gesture may reportedly be enough to heal the rift between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. The news comes amid ongoing tensions in the royal family, highlighted by the Sussexes' recent UK visit. That said, neither Kensington Palace nor the Sussexes' representatives have commented on the report.
Royal commentator suggests Kate Middleton might act as the 'peacemaker' to end her and Meghan Markle's rift
According to a royal expert, Kate Middleton might act as the "peacemaker" between Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family if tensions ever ease. The dynamic between Princess Catherine and her sister-in-law has drawn constant attention from royal watchers, as the comment refers to tensions dating back to Megxit in 2020.
At the beginning of the Sussexes' relationship, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle appeared to get along well. But cracks emerged following the 2018 marriage. For the past six years, the two households have been estranged, during which time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made multiple claims about their royal relatives.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, however, have not addressed any of those allegations. After Prince Harry's trip to the UK earlier this month and his private audience with King Charles, royal watchers are now asking if he might ever mend things with his estranged brother, Prince William.
As reported by the Express, royal commentator Jennie Bond has claimed that the feud is "really between" the siblings, noting that if a reconciliation ever happened, their spouses would back them.
"The battle is really between the brothers. I'm sure if William and Harry ever come to a point when they want to settle their differences, their wives will support them and follow their lead," she shared with New Magazine.
"I don't think the princess and duchess would ever be particularly close, but I think Catherine would simply rise above the barbs that Meghan has launched in her direction," Bond added.
The royal analyst believes that Kate Middleton leans more toward peacemaking. While she did not discount the chance of a future reconciliation between the two royal couples, she noted that nothing at the moment points to that.
Reports about resolving the high-profile rift between Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, frequently surface in tabloids and commentary. Public interest remains high, but royal observers point out that a lasting reconciliation would require significant structural and personal shifts.
Key Actions That Could Shift the Relationship.
A Private, Direct Dialogue Without Media Involvement: Royal commentators consistently note that any true resolution must start with direct, private communication away from public commentary or media leaks. Both sides have cited privacy as a major boundary.
Shared Family Priorities: Common ground surrounding their children or health matters within the broader royal family has occasionally served as a bridge for informal contact.
Institutional Support & Clear Boundaries: Clear roles and boundaries defined by the monarchy could reduce the friction that initially arose from overlapping public duties and media pressures.
While tabloids regularly frame single phone calls or public gestures as the ultimate "olive branch", long-term reconciliation relies on rebuilding mutual trust over time rather than a single event.
