Designer coats and a £92,000 jewellery collection: How Kate is transforming Princess Charlotte's wardrobe - from Trotters to Givenchy.
The Princess of Wales is seemingly levelling up her daughter's wardrobe by incorporating designer wear after years of shopping from the high street.
Royal fashion commentators noticed that Princess Charlotte, 11, was dressed in a one-of-a-kind cream dress from Alessandra Rich when she attended Trooping the Colour earlier this month.
The King's official birthday parade was a family affair as the Royal Family were out in full force to mark the occasion - including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, George, 12, Charlotte, and little Louis.
While Charlotte's poise and grace on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where the royals congregated for the flypast, won her praise as the 'standout star' of the day, her outfit suggested she's following in her mother's very fashionable footsteps.
After years of wearing adorable frocks from brands like Rachel Riley and donning coats from British clothing brand Trotters, it appears the little princess has outgrown the likes of John Lewis and Ralph Lauren.
Instead, Charlotte has an already-enviable collection of couture that she has been pictured in with increasing frequency - including designs from Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, and Catherine Walker.
When Charlotte joined Saturday's parade in an open-top carriage alongside her mother, the young princess debuted a custom dress from Italian label Alessandra Rich, complete with appliqué detail and a lace-trimmed collar.
Catherine has long been a fan of the brand's smart, vintage-inspired designs and owns at least 11 pieces, according to Tatler.
When she joined the Prince of Wales in delivering a St David's Day message, the future Queen opted for a drop-waisted, black-and-red houndstooth frock that she first wore to the reopening of the V&A in 2021.
Describing the princess as a 'style icon', Ms Rich told The Telegraph: 'I can't ever say I'm not thrilled she likes my clothes.'
And now the designer already has a future customer in Charlotte, who looked angelic in the custom frock.
Royal fans were thrilled when they noticed the dress features a pastel blue floral print, so that Charlotte was also wearing blue and white like Catherine, as the mother-daughter duo frequently coordinate their Trooping the Colour ensembles.
While the price of Charlotte's dress is only available on request as it's bespoke, she paired it with an organza bow from royal-approved headwear designer Jane Taylor Millinery, worth nearly £200 ($256).
She finished the look with a pair of now-sold-out £159 ivory flats from the brand Pretty Ballerinas, as well as a three-strand pearl bracelet to match Catherine's Nigel Milne piece that previously belonged to Princess Diana.
It appears the elegant bracelet was gifted to Charlotte, much like the diamond brooch she donned for the King's Birthday Parade last year.
The princess, who recently turned 11, paid a touching tribute to her late great-great-grandmother by wearing the horseshoe pin that was a cherished present from the Queen herself.
This year's Trooping the Colour marks the first time Charlotte has worn Alessandra Rich, as Charlotte continues to rack up designer labels.
In another matching moment with the future Queen, Charlotte, then 10, effortlessly echoed Catherine's signature style when they attended the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final last year.
For the occasion, Charlotte wore a custom dress by Sarah Burton for Givenchy, another favourite designer of her mother's.
The bespoke piece featured a timeless A-line silhouette with playful ruffle detailing, all in a chic monochrome colour palette.
She completed the look with her £87 Papouelli Mary Jane shoes, £71 Ray Ban sunglasses and sparkling jewellery from Pandora, making Charlotte the best-dressed 10-year-old courtside that day.
Her bracelet was especially eye-catching, featuring a Nala charm from the brand's popular Disney The Lion King collaboration, alongside another representing her birthstone.
Earlier this year, Charlotte attended the royals' traditional Easter Service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, wearing a bespoke camel coat from Catherine Walker over a powder blue, pleated Self Portrait dress.
Other details included £324 Tory Burch suede ballet flats, as Charlotte was perfectly in step with her typically elegant mother.
Finally, Charlotte repurposed the high-end white dress she wore for her grandfather, King Charles's Coronation for Trooping the Colour in 2023.
The Palace confirmed that Charlotte wore an ivory silk crepe dress and matching cape designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen for the historic ceremony on May 6, 2023.
Like Catherine, Charlotte swapped a tiara for a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen Headpieces with silver bullion, crystal and silver thread work believed to be worth an eyewatering £80,000.
Weeks later, Charlotte joined Charles's official birthday celebrations at The Mall wearing what royal commentators quickly realised was a slightly modified version of the white frock.
Children's wear designer Amaia Arrieta, who has dressed the Waleses children, told Marie Claire that while the 'way the skirt' of her red and white dress moves is 'exactly the same' as her Coronation dress, 'it looks like the sleeves were changed'.
The dress also featured a new red belt and a collar detail, as Arrieta said: 'It fitted her perfectly, and it was just weeks ago, so it makes sense.'
With Wimbledon now only weeks away, it remains to be seen whether Charlotte returns to centre court in another designer ensemble - but her status as a budding fashionista is certainly confirmed.
