The Princess Of Wales(Kate Middleton) ‘taking a firm stance’ on ex-Prince Andrew’s scandal.
Kate Middleton is reportedly setting boundaries around Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s scandal.
After the former Duke of York was stripped of his titles, evicted from Royal Lodge and arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the Princess of Wales is making it clear she highly disapproves of the situation.
“There is real concern about what’s been going on behind the scenes,” a source told Closer magazine. “Kate is taking an especially firm stance.”
“The presence of Andrew and Sarah [Ferguson], even quietly, represents a risk,” the insider said of the 66-year-old’s ex-wife, who also had her titles removed over her friendship with the late criminal.
“Every time they’re still in the frame, even behind the scenes, it prevents the family from fully moving on,” the source added.
Following the U.S. Department of Justice’s publication of additional files linking Andrew to Epstein, Kate and Prince William released a statement.
“I can confirm the Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims,” their representative said in a message via People.
As the Prince of Wales prepares to take over from King Charles III, he wants his uncle and his endless scandals away from The Firm.
“Certainly, he [William] made his voice known that Andrew should have no place within the monarchy, both publicly and privately. He should be banished from the institution,” author Russell Myers, who wrote the book William and Catherine: The Monarchy’s New Era, said during an appearance on Newsweek‘s “The Royal Report” podcast.
“He [Andrew] should have no role within the family because he would be a stain on it,” the writer continued. “And certainly, if they were going to keep him close, as the late Queen Elizabeth II and indeed Charles did for a couple of years in his reign, that was going to be a major problem.”
Myers also claimed William always knew Andrew was up to no good. “He would question ‘what does he actually do?’, but it was more than that,” a source quoted in the book told the author.
“He’d seen how Andrew behaved in front of staff, ordering people about, the aggressive or dismissive manner, they’d never seen eye to eye,” they added.
