Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's fallout with the royal family is well-documented – not least because of his explosive memoir Spare and their tell-all Netflix show.
And royal followers had a signal of matters to come again in 2019 when Meghan spoke to Tom Bradby throughout the couple's royal visit to South Africa. You can watch Tom talk about the Harry and William's strained relationship in the clip below...
ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey followed the newlyweds’ tour of section of the continent and marked the first time Meghan had shared her unhappiness.



She grew to become visibly emotional in front of presenter Tom Bradby as she admitted her previous year as a member of the royal family had been "hard".
Now, former ITN editorial director Chris Shaw has mirrored on the broadcaster's headline-grabbing interview with the Duchess, saying the "little conversation in South Africa" seemed "so outlandishly unexpected and shocking".
Mr Shaw, who introduced his departure from the enterprise in January after 25 years, also stated there is a "contradiction" between the Sussexes' desire for privacy and their willingness to communicate about their personal lives.
Speaking to Deadline, Mr Shaw was once requested whether the team behind the programme instantly knew the pictures was "explosive".



He said: "That little conversation in South Africa appeared so outlandishly unexpected and surprising … we knew we had something relatively extraordinary."
Harry and Meghan went on to step back from royal obligations and go to Montecito – earlier than publicly criticising members of the royal family.


Mr Shaw added: "I feel a bit sorry for them because I assume they're in the eye of the most appalling storm and they didn't suggest to go there."
It's nevertheless now not acknowledged whether Meghan and Harry will attend the King's coronation on 6 May – although, it seems, they have now sent their RSVP.



Royal watchers are speculating that both Harry will attend by himself, or with spouse Meghan. An appearance from their teens Archie and Lilibet looks more and more unlikely, mainly in mild of the fact Harry has said he believes it is "too dangerous" to carry his youngsters to the UK.
