Which is why sources say she was “furious” to discover out that Harry had been in touch with his ex-girlfriend of seven years, whom he split from around 2011.
According to reports, Harry contacted people from his past, including Chelsy, to talk to his ghostwriter J.R. Moehringer – but plenty to his chagrin, it’s understood they in most cases refused.
According to New Idea’s insiders, Meghan used to be “rankled when she found out he’d hit up Chelsy”.
“Everyone is aware of he likely would have married Chelsy if she didn’t baulk at the concept of public life,” says a source.
“It’s a reality that Meghan tries to push aside, however knowing they’ve been in touch brings returned all her insecurities.”
