Meghan Markle Is a Huge Fan of Jeopardy.

 

In a new episode of her podcast Archetypes, the duchess opens up about her love for TV—and her hatred of the word “bitch.”

On the ninth episode of her podcast Archetypes, Meghan Markle focuses on the word “difficult” and perceptions that effective girls are aggressive or overly demanding. Before she acquired into that territory, she started with a bit of dialog about her obsession with TV and her love for one exhibit in particular.

“Jeopardy was once my favored exhibit developing up,” Meghan said, “and I would eat my dinner on a TV tray in front of the screen, watching each category and clue with bated breath and excessive focus, making an attempt to absorb whatever statistics they were firing off in the structure of a question.”

She stated the exhibit helped her improve her love for words. “My obsession with this show was once so deep,” she said. “You guys, when Alex Trebek surpassed away, I commenced to acquire texts of condolence. I didn't know him, however anyone who knew me knew how significant Jeopardy – and its host – were as a daily phase of my life.”

Though she in no way references “Duchess Difficult,” the tabloid nickname she used to be given after spats with her palace personnel went public, she does mention that being referred to as names caused her to do some soul searching. “Of course, names hurt,” she said. “But what happens when we use that ache to fuel purpose? When the B-word is shouted with one intent, however you're in a position to let it go.”
